Where is Putin taking Russia? USSRII ?

What does everyone think of Putin over in Russia. This guy talks Democracy, but does everything to show that he is nothing but another Czarist dictator. He doesn't want to let go of his grip on the country and seems like he is just begging to start another cold war of sorts . . .

Any thoughts?

BTW - Instead of letting his opposition protest him, he puts them in jail . . . sound familiar anyone?
