Ashley Dennis

Can someone recommend a CPA who specializes in real estate investing as well as a real estate attorney?

Thanks.

Hello, I am looking for a real estate attorney to review paperwork and provide advice in the case I need to invest in a SFR using a self directed IRA. I will be using retirement funds and for that reason in order to defer taxes.

@Ashley Dennis Are you looking for an attorney to review the paperwork involved in purchasing real estate?  Or are you looking for guidance on setting up an SDIRA?   I ask because there is little difference in the mechanics of a real estate transaction inside of or outside of a retirement account.  What specific guidance are you looking for?

I am looking for advice if I should just pay my taxes up front when using pre tax funds in lieuof having the IRA own the property and deferring taxes

@Ashley Dennis

You may want to consider working with your accountant remotely to expand your options.

I would also recommend looking for a tax strategist willing to work with you throughout the year, not just when preparing your tax return.

You want an accountant who can help you strategize and who is responsive when you want to know the tax consequences of the financial decisions you are making throughout the year.

Good luck.
