Considering investing in Indianapolis - Feedback

Considering various markets for single family, or small multifamily for rentals.  Indianapolis is one of the areas we are considering.  Would like feedback from folks familiar with the area and market there.  Any particular areas/neighborhoods/streets we should consider or avoid?  How is East Indianapolis...around the Irvington area, along Washington or 10th St?

Would also like to connect with local realtors, property managers and contractors.
