Is anyone familiar with the area just west of the Howard CTA station in Chicago?

I've read a lot of mixed reviews regarding the safety of the area. What crossroads are safe to stay within?

What is the crime like there?

How have your experiences been with tenants?

Any feedback on the area or crime would be appreciated! Thanks in advance
