Hi BPC, my name is JR and am a mortgage lender. I've strayed away from RE investments as I took a big loss in 2008 downturn. Since then I had to overcome some financial issues due to the downturn. As I recovered I focused more on the stock market and missed some of the larger upsides in RE. Successful in my roll as a mortgage lender but sat the sidelines. In 2019 I determined that I needed to get into the game so to say. So at the heart of the pandemic I purchased my first property. A 2 unit in SoCal that cash-flowed well. Shocking I know but it did in a great market. I believe I capitalized on fear well with that one. My second was 2 months later in North west loop of Phoenix which was a great deal and has already appreciated incredibly well. Still under the pandemic covering. Since then I have picked up 2 more in Columbus OH this far this year. I use property managers and I like Stessa for financials and so forth. Anyhow, that's where I am today and now looking to take on a BRRRR.
