Hi everyone,

I moved to the USA 3 years ago from Singapore and am very interested in learning the ropes as much as I can. I have bought and sold several properties in Australia, where I lived for 10 years and Singapore as well.

We bought a townhouse here in the DC/MD area which was on short sale and rehabbed it. It is now rented and I have a positive cash flow. I also have another townhouse (another short sale) which has a ratified contract.

I am about to take a real estate license because it makes sense to do so. I hope to learn a lot more from Bigger Pockets and I would love to flip a property but I would like to learn about how it would impact my taxes and affect the bottom line.

Cheers!

Grace
