New NJ Investor looking to connect with rockstars in Real Estate

Hello Bigger Pockets, I am so glad I found this community of real estate investors,contractors,agents,etc,etc,etc.  First of I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum,  My name is Piero Principe, I am 36 from Kearny NJ, married, and have two beautiful daughters.  My profession at the moment is being a server. I dont own a home yet, and even though I was in the market for my own home for a little while, I decided to first invest in my assets before I can buy my own home.  Im basically here to meet great new people from the area or from other areas so we can work together and maybe help each other grow.  A little more about me is that I have about $35k of my personal money ready to invest, also I would be looking for distressed homes to fix up and buy, so I would love to talk to some lenders and even contractors to see how they work.  I have lots of questions and am very eager to learn and buy my first investment property.  I want to connect with people that I can bring value to them also. Well thanks everyone in advance for all your help, me and my family really appreciate it and if there's any tips or tricks or anything that you can help me with, I will greatly appreciate it.
