Question

Joking, more like a newbie lol, Hi yall!

My name is Jane and i have been a member since July last year but never introduced myself. I was lucky enough to find BP through a google search and i have learnt so much and will continue to learn, grow, and seek more knowledge. I bought my first property 2 months ago,  a 3/3.5 house in Los angeles where i'm currently house hacking. My profession is in nursing and i moved to LA 3 years ago as a travel nurse renting from others for short term stays. Now, i am renting to other travel nurses. This is my entry into real estate investing and i am looking forward to connecting with others here in BP and to learn from them as well.

Yes ma'am I am a licensed agent here in Austin, and the market is pretty competitive right now.

As with most transactions, it depends on the price point, and that can vary.  To answer directly: the cash flow for duplexes/small MFH tend to be better than SFH due to the economies of scale and where the rents are in the market currently.

Forgot to add, I see you live in Austin. How is the market out there and is there a potential for cash flow in duplex’s? I have been looking into Austin, just researching for now :)

Congrats! I am also a nurse who started with house hacking in Kansas City, MO. I have since gone PRN and full time realtor while building my buy and hold portfolio!
