Hello All,

I am just beginning my education.
I happened across this site while investigating some of the eye-wateringly expensive "mentor" programs on offer on my local radio.
Thank heavens!

I am a licensed commercial general contractor in AZ, and have been for the last 8+ years.
I have been doing retail TI work since 1993, and worked with clients, architects, engineers, city review and inspectors, subcontractors and other generals.
My goal is to develop REI into a substantial retirement plan, although choosing the particular vehicle is part of my initial education phase. Flipping or buy and hold are both attractive. I am open minded, however. Commercial buy and hold perhaps?
My challenge is first to obtain my education, and secondly to make things work with slightly challenged credit and no liquid assets to invest.

I very much appreciate pointers regarding which type of investing is most successful in central AZ, and if there are meetings / associations in which I can participate. I am motivated.
