Why can't there be a site like this for all industries? Just spending a few minutes on here has transformed my perception of real estate investing from something that scared the hell out of me into something that I am so eager to learn more about.

I'll try not to quote too much from my profile, but having just written out all that info, it's hard to be creative again in such a short time, I never was much of a writer anyway.

My name is Josh Cochran. I just turned 34 years old, just had my first child, a daughter (Sloane), and just realized that sitting in my office trying to bill 2000 hours a year was not my idea of a happy life and satisfying career.

I have been practicing law for a little over 7 years, and my career has taught me about the transactions involved in real estate, how to identify problems, and the appropriate way to fix them, but I know very little about investing in real estate. I want to learn from the ground-up, and I want to help out in any way I can on my way to earning my stripes.

I look forward to getting to some of you in the near future.
