Hi everyone! My name is Eben and this is my first ever post. I'm a 26 year old film industry worker from Vancouver, BC. Shout out to all my fellow Canadians out there on the forums!.. Don't worry Americans, you're cool too.

My eyes were first opened to the world of investing when, about a year ago, a friend encouraged me to open a TFSA. I followed his advice and started investing money into the stock market. It has been very inspiring to watch my money work for me instead of sitting in a bank account or be put towards more frivolous purchases. Previous to that I was aware that financially intelligent people invested their money but always held myself back by convincing myself I didn't have enough money to invest or didn't have enough time to learn before I started investing. Now that I've starting kicking down those doors and pulling back the curtain, I want to see what else there is to know.

Real estate has always piqued my interest and I kept telling myself, 'One day I'm going to learn about real estate investing'. Well about three months ago I got tired of waiting and decided I was going to keep breaking down the barriers standing between my self and financial freedom. Over the past few months, I've been listening to the podcast, reading tons of books, and soaking up information from any place I can. I already feel like I've learned a ton, not just about real estate investing or smart business practices, but about general life skills like the importance of goal setting and developing the right mentality to be successful. Some of these teachings have already had an impact on my life, can't wait to see what else is possible.

I'm looking forward to becoming more involved in the forums and hopefully getting to know some of you in the BP community.

Take care!
