New Member Intro - Vince

Posted

Hello everyone, my name is Vince! I'm 28 years old and currently living in the Bay Area, CA. I graduated with a BS in business and marketing 2 years ago and I was just recently laid off due to Covid-19. Fortunately, I've been working through college and investing most of my money.

My plan is to move to Fort Worth TX with my mom and brother and either buy a home for ourselves, OR hunker down in an apartment and buy a rental property. The second choice sounds the most logical to me. I'm okay with putting a 150k down payment on a 270k house, but I'm worried about selling stock and a couple other assets. I don't want to reduce my opportunity in the market by selling shares. Even with 50% (20 year mortgage) on a 270k home in Fort Worth, my cash on cash ROI is 1.28%. I must be missing something.

My goal is to have 5 rental properties in the next 5 years. Thank you and I'm happy I found this resource!
