Rookie in Michigan

Hi everyone,
I'm Eric from West Michigan. To call myself a "rookie" isn't fair to rookies - I don't even hope to be a rookie for a couple years. Until then, I'm looking to learn and build my cash reserves. When I do jump in, I'm looking to do a mix of rehabbing and single family rentals - and possibly a new construction or two. My plan is to work at this for the next 20 years or so (part time) - and then use this real estate business to give me an "active" retirement.
I guess we'll see how that really goes - but it's a goal.

I will probably soak up as much info as I can, but my "give" will probably be less than my "take" for a while - but I will chime in when I think I have something constructive to ask or add to the discussion.
