just another guy from new england
Howdy! a friend pointed me here, as an example of a nicely designed online community, and it turns out by coincidence that I've been thinking about finding a community for real estate investing and decided to join up.
I live in Massachusetts, and my background is in online businesses. I build, buy, sell, and manage online businesses very much like BiggerPockets.com. I recently sold several of my web properties, and have been thinking about diversifying myself by getting into something different like a brick and mortar business or real estate.
What I was thinking would be an ideal situation would be if I could find someone in my area who is already successful in real estate who might be looking to diversify, and I could help that person get into an online business while they help me get into real estate. Is that too crazy an idea?

Hello Peter - Welcome to BP. Never a crazy idea. You don't know if you don't ask. BP is full of the latest and greatest information and experienced investors willing to help. Check out your local REIA clubs and Black Diamond event in Waltham on the 23rd. These are great networking events for all real estate industry related people and you can announce your request to the entire room. Best of luck in your new venture.
