Hello all! I am Evan Mazurek from Chicago, IL, a newbie taking the first steps into the real estate investing world. I graduated from Miami Unviersity in 2018 with a degree in finance, and currently work for a top property and casualty insurance carrier.

Real estate has always been an interest and an itch I have wanted to scratch, but never knew where to start. Finally I couldn't take it any more, and want to make an interest a reality.

Being a novice, there are tons of room to grow. I'm looking forward to connecting with many of you and learning from your experiences and wide array of knowledge.

Any and all advice is welcomed on how you started your real estate journey!

Hi Evan,

You might want to try becoming a realtor.
I've been a real estate agent for 11 years.
Some real estate brokers have excellent training and you'll have access to a lot of property information (which is key).
Past sales and rentals will help you learn how to price properties (before and after reno).
And much more.

Good luck - Darren
