Newbie looking to get started

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum but not really new to BiggerPockets.  I've been listening to the podcast for about a year now.  Nevertheless, I'm looking to get started in my real estate journey, focusing mainly on wholesaling.  I've already started with the whole "drive for dollars" and looking for properties in the area that would possibly seem like a good investment. I guess my only hesitation is not having the financial backing to move forward on the deals.  So, I would like to connect with some investors in the DC Metropolitan Area (Maryland) to communicate with and potentially partner with on some deals soon.

Also, if anyone is familiar with the Maryland market outside of DC and have some tips, I would greatly appreciate any advice given.
