Hello, intro post alert!

Hi BP community! I am Marco and my girlfriend Arielle and I are new here. I live in Camarillo and have been listening to the podcasts and reading more books, currently Unscripted by MJ Demarco and The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy from @Brandon Turner's podcast rec. Thanks! I work with my dad as a contractor doing remodels all the time, and the irony is he never has time for his own home! He had three properties in Vegas which he let go in 08 and never wanted to reinvest since. I have been renting for a decade now and can't wait to make a first purchase with my girlfriend. We're looking for something we can fixup, househack, you know get our foot in the door. I'm hopeful with our combined savings and possibly her dad or other private lenders, and my construction skills and time, we can start to lay the right foundation for our future. Looking forward to connecting with local likeminded people, learning a lot and sharing as much as we can. Thank you for reading!
