Hi BP Community,

I'd like to introduce myself as I'm new to Bigger Pockets and Real Estate investing. I'm an active duty military officer (Air Force) currently based in Washington State. However I will be moving to the Salt Lake City, Ogden area of Utah in a few months. I've worked hard over the last year to save up a good amount of money to be able to buy my first property. While saving, I've also spent quite a bit of time learning – mainly podcasts and a lot of reading. With my move to Utah coming up I feel like I'm financially ready and incredibly excited to jump into real estate investing! I'm looking to house hack either a SFH or MFH and possibly using FHA or VA loan. Because of where my work is located I'm interested in properties located anywhere from Salt Lake City all the way up to Ogden. As I prepare for my move and continue to learn about real estate I would really like to:

  • - connect with investors and real estate agents in the Salt Lake City/Ogden area
  • - learn about any meetups taking place in that area that I can attend
  • - any advice/recommendations the BP community may have for a new newbie or investing in Utah

Thank you all for your time! I’m very excited to get more involved with the BP community and real estate and learn from everyone on here and hopefully along the way be able to help some people myself!

Armando
