Soon to be Investor - Northern New Jersey

Hello BP community!

My name is Zach and I am new to real estate. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a BS in Civil Engineering in 2014, I currently work as a Project Engineer for a commercial construction management company but am looking to make a shift into real estate to achieve my ultimate goal of financial freedom. I am an active listener of the podcast who has recently completed the book by BP titled "How to Invest in Real Estate" with the intention of completing several more of their publications. The strategy I am interested in implementing is holding multifamily properties obtained through the BRRRR process to maximize cash flow in Northern New Jersey. Due to the high property values in the area, it seems relatively risky for someone with minimal experience to jump right in. Therefore, I am hopeful that these forums can provide a reliable avenue for me to open dialogs with experienced local investors, brokers, lenders, etc. and gain the necessary knowledge to find my first great deal in this competitive market.

I look forward to being an active member of the community!

Zach Hoy
