Im interested in long distance vacation rentals
Ive been a realtor for 5 years in PA. In 2017 we bought a home and kept our starter home as a rental which we sold in 2019. Im currently researching buying a vacation rental out of state, possibly near a national park. I need to figure out what the best locations may be and how to estimate costs such as management, maintenance, cleaning as well as furniture, towels and kitchen items initially. I have a lot of experience with the financing and purchase transaction but Im struggling to estimate the other costs which could vary depending on the location. I also need to figure out estimated occupancy rates and how to connect with cleaning, maintenance and management firms. Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks
Shawn
