Newbie Investor looking for advice and tips to start investing!
Hello Bigger Pockets ! I'm excited for my early start in investing! I am currently a chef, and have been working in the culinary industry for alittle over half a decade. My significant other also has been working in her respective marketing field now as well and we have found ourselves looking for alittle more in our life. We have a very strong mindset of building a wealth for ourselves and building a nice living for the two of us and our family when we begin having one.
We have spent the better half of the past year going to seminars, reading books and listening to podcast. Of course there's way more we can learn from those options but we feel it's beneficial to reach out and find and meet investors who are investing in their every day lives. We are looking for tips and advice.
Investing options that have peaked our interest are Rental Properties, Flipping and Wholesaling. We want to also know what might be the best way and or the best option to start investing with $6000 to $8000. We are highly motivated and ready to learn. Any and every advice helps. Thanks to everyone ahead of time !

I agree with the above - if you've done your research but you need to take the next step with investigating properties - then your best bet is to ensure you have your lender/financing available and then contact a realtor, preferably in the REI market, who can assist with navigating your market of interest and help find the property types that will work with your ROI model.
Typically, your realtor is you best asset who can point you in the right direction as far as contractors (make sure they're licensed and insured). Otherwise, join local groups for REI on facebook that can provide insight and reviews for those who are already operating in the area - I've always been a firm believer of learning from others and REI is no exceptiong (hence BP).
Once you get the folks corralled, things should move fairly quickly for you - so make sure all the pieces of the puzzle are ready to go before you put it all together.
Best of luck to you!!
