Hello! My name is Steven Meador and I am located in Central Florida, specifically the city of Apopka. I am Navy submarine veteran currently working in the information management industry. I just started my real estate investing journey with a goal to partially retire in 10 years. I do not yet have any experience but will be purchasing my first property by the end of the year. For this first investment I plan on living in and updating a single family home and then moving out and turning it into my first rental property, and then repeating. I am hoping that between my Wifes FHA and my VA we can significantly lower the barrier to entry. I have been interested in real estate for years but had always been too intimidated thinking that it took a lot of money to get involved. I found BP after buying Brandon's audio book on rental properties and while I am admittedly still a bit intimidated, knowing that community like this with people willing to share advice at least gives me hope that I can learn from any mistakes I make and be successful. Looking forward to networking and maybe sharing an adventure or two. P.S. really hoping this posts to the correct location....lol
