New Investor in Aurora, IL

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself. I recently moved to Aurora, IL with my family and am looking for investment properties in the surrounding area, mainly focusing on single family homes. I understand that my backyard may not be the ideal area to invest, but I am flexible if the numbers work out.

I have been interested in becoming a buy and hold investor for a while now and I am looking to make the plunge this year. It may seem cliché, but It was Rich Dad, Poor Dad that helped me dig deeper into understanding and increasing my financial intelligence.

I’ve educated myself with lots of podcasts, videos, and books, but until I actually take the leap, there is a lot I still need to learn. I lead a very busy life between work and family, but willing to do the work necessary to begin this journey.

Any advice from the community would be appreciated. Thanks.
