Hello everyone! I am presently the owner of a SFH rental property in Long Beach, CA. I was fortunate enough to purchase it about a decade ago at the bottom of the recession and it was my primary residence until about two years ago, when I rented it out and moved back in with my aging mother in Orange County. I thought about selling the house and trading up (I'm sitting on a very nice chunk of equity thanks to the housing market rebound) but figured I might as well rent it out until I figure out the situation with my mom and think about where I truly want to live. I grew up in OC but I also really like San Diego and the Pacific Northwest.

I ran across this site while doing some internet research about accessory dwelling units, and it occurred to me that since I have no pressing need to move back into my LB house I am essentially already a real estate investor, so I figured I might as well sign up and learn something about real estate.

And that’s my story!
