New Member - Bay Area, CA
Hello BP and Happy New Year!
My name is Michael and I'm currently living in Hayward, CA. I am an Assistant Controller for a local construction company. As many, I been bitten by the real estate bug and I'm hooked. I'm currently in the education stage of my real estate journey. I've been reading books and devouring podcasts as fast as I can. My goal is to invest in buy and hold multi-family properties in the Sacramento market. I plan to purchase my first rental property in 2020. My ultimate goal is to be able to replace my W2 income with the cash flow from my investments, giving my wife and me the financial freedom to live our life as we please. I would love to connect with like minded real estate investors in the Bay Area and/or Sacramento. I'm extremely excited to be part of this amazing community.

Welcome @Michael Tucker to BP and world of RE investing! I am also a buy & hold investor and incidentally have been investing only in Hayward (and San Leandro) for the past decade. I was able to leave my W2 4 years ago due to cash flow from RE investments. There is nothing wrong in looking to invest in Sac market but don't ignore your home market! And being in Hayward, you have an edge for investing in that market (which you will not have in Sac).
Good Luck!
