New to Real Estate Investing

Hey Bigger Pockets family I am new to real estate investing. I own my condo so that's a start. I am interested in creating a portfolio in the next 5 years to supplement and eventually surpass my current income so I can stop trading hours for money and spend more time with my family. My goal this year is to have 5 units. I am interested at the moment is renovating and holding my properties. So most likely I will be using the BRRR method. Areas of interest are Hudson, Essex and Bergen Counties in NJ. Wish me luck.
