Newbie student from Minooka Il Seeking knowledge

Hello my name is Joshua Zilinskas. I currently reside in the small town of minooka illinois . Where do I start? As for knowledge about Real estate,Business, and Investing my knowledge is limited ,but I hope to change that here. I find it actually quite ironic how I never really liked school but I'm on this quest for knowledge and information. Now why am I here?! I Guess it all started right after highschool about 3 years ago now . I began to work full time deciding to focus on a passion of mine being Video game development. Since I never planned on being part of a major publishing company i decided to stick to making and trying to publish my own games to smaller markets. Which didint require schooling. But as my needs as a young adult grew (A car,New Computer,Rent) I found myself needing more money to fund these expenses. So naturally I got stuck in the grind of working 80 hour weeks for 2 years. After a fallout with my former boss and not feeling valued as an employee after years of hard work. I Decided to try and become my own boss ! I worked on ideas that allowed me to do just that eventually this past summer Creating an app that allowed Local customers to suggest improvements to businesses near them giving the customers a voice. It also doubled as an Advertising platform for businesses I see following the suggestions and making changes. But with hosting costs and lack of knowledge on how to expand the idea I retired the project and decided to pick it up when I have more time. But the time never came and i sat here wondering what the next step was. After a long self contemplation I decided I wanted the ultimate gift of financial freedom and started the process of self improvement and Education. I looked into ways of obtaining assets like real estate and stocks. But later listened to the wise words of a old man at the library "The first step is investing in yourself" and that's what led me to worry about my health and overall knowledge allowing me to lose 65 Lbs and picking up books like Rich dad poor dad ,The book of real estate investing by Brandon Turner (which led me here to BP) Unf*ck yourself by Gary john bishop and many more. Now reading and listening to books is all fine at first but it has left me with so many questions. Like should I go back to school? Or is devoting my time to something else better . What paths did other investors take when starting? Will my current job be enough to get me started with investing ? Should I move before getting started or stay in this small town? And so many more !! I would love to just get to see everyone's opinion and learn what they have to say about it all. I know this is lengthy and my paragraph writing is subpar but if you happened to read this far. Thank you so much and I hope to interact with you more on the site in the future!
