Hello everyone!

I’m Charniece and I’m ready to get this Real Estate experience started.

Here are the basics:

-Chicago native currently living in Naperville

-Currently employed as a night shift supervisor for a pharmaceutical company but ready to grow into a new opportunity and learn some new and valuable skills

-Took my first leap recently by working to attain my real estate license (feeling positive about passing the exam).

-Looking to get myself one step closer to closing on my first real estate deal in the (very) near future. Currently leaning toward doing some buy and hold deals but I’m open to continuing to learn the pros and cons of the other methods.

-Also looking to do some major research in investing in some Chicago neighborhoods that are considered “risky “ (Englewood, Austin, etc.) but have seen some major improvements in the past few years.

-Open to connecting with anyone open to sharing their wisdom and knowledge while challenging me to test my skills and knowledge in return.

I believe this is enough for an introduction.

Looking forward to continuing on in this journey with you all.

Charniece

@Charniece Polk - Welcome to world of real estate and congrats on taking your first step towards getting your real estate license. Having your license opens up so many nice doors like access to the MLS and setting up showings at your convenience. I am super happy I went ahead and got my license and I think you will be too! Did you already take your exam?

What's your mindset behind investing on the southside of Chicago?  Although it is typically a low burden of entry financially it is often one of the most difficult places to be a successful real estate investor.  Have you thought about just trying to house hack in Naperville?

I'd suggest talking to a lender like @Michael Barbari who works in Downers Grove right next to Naperville and see what you might qualify for now.  Don't wait!
