Hi BP forums, I'm a newbie REI, just recently discovered Bigger Pockets podcast in the past month and I'm HOOKED! As of now, the only experience I have in this area is buying a fixer-upper house, gutting it and putting it all back together with my husband. My husband is a real estate agent and has been a listener for a while, and he recently told me about the BRRRR method, and I really enjoyed my recent read oof David Greene's book Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat. My day job as an academic scientific researcher is intellectually stimulating, but stressful, time consuming, not paid well, and has a limited timeframe, so my husband and I are interested in going in a different direction to build our financial freedom.

We are very interested in initially building a portfolio using the BRRRR method with single family home rental properties around the Madison, WI and Milwaukee, WI areas, then moving into multi-unit properties. I've already learned so much from Bigger Pockets and I really look forward to future endeavors and future financial freedom!
