Hi Biggerpockets!

I would like to start by saying thank you to the whole community at large. Following on YouTube, taking webinars, using the education material, and reading through the forums has been very motivating. I appreciate how this is a massive community of helpful and encouraging people.

It dawned me recently that even though I have been intently studying and attempting to get started in real estate, I was not doing enough to make it happen. So I would appreciate it if you could assist me with some input on how to reach out to professionals and offer my assistance in exchange for experience.

I am in the Tampa Bay area. I realized that a better use of my time aside from contacting potential sellers would be to contact professionals and beginners a like in my area. If someone were to reach out to you and offer help what would you be looking for in the person and what they had to offer?

Hey Charles,

I'd say it would be best for them know what you would like to get out of investing in real estate. Having a defined goal helps you to 1. Keep you on track and focused and 2. Help you to choose what type of investing will work best for you as there are many (buy and hold ((buy and hold SFH, multi family, condos)), fix and flip, wholesaling, etc). Bringing this back to you, what questions, ideas, or comments would you like to run by an experienced investor especially in the Tampa Bay market?
