Greetings BP community.  My name is Benjamin. I live in Medford, Oregon with my wife and two daughters. I have been in the residential and commercial floor covering trade since 2000. While it has been good to me, I am looking to start moving away from the labor side.

I became interested in flipping and brrrr about a year ago. I noticed some of the most successful people I have worked for own real estate, especially rentals. I worked as a sub contractor until last year (took an hourly job). I am looking to build passive income and a way to retire, or at least quit tearing up my body.

Right now I am working on a VA cash out refi to get some funds together to get started. I plan to hold the funds in a high yield saving account, continue reading and researching what's going on in my area, and planning to aggressively get a deal going this fall/winter. This is mainly due to my current workload.

If everything goes as planned, I should have about $60k with the ability to borrow another $25k. I have 19 years in construction, many tools, truck and trailer, and know some people in other trades. I believe these skills and tools will improve my chances of success.

I am open to input both here and from members in my local area and appreciate anyone's contribution.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to the journey.

Benjamin
