New member to bigger pockets. I have been reading a lot of posts on here and thought I was overdue for my first post. Looking to buy and hold properties in the Huntsville, Birmingham, and Montgomery markets.

Great markets.  You go to Alabama for cash flow !  You don’t go there for growth and appreciation as your main strategy.  So if you are looking for high cash flow then you are looking in the right market!! one of the reasons why I love Alabama is because the property taxes are the second lowest in the country so usually the proformas out beat almost any other market because of that.   Also the landlord laws are favorable to the landlord which is also important.

I am more focused on Birmingham and Montgomery because of the bidding wars and the hype that’s going on in Huntsville right now.  Alabama is a very linear market, long term hold strategy.  I am in the middle of doing to revise any purchase there right now if you want to discuss further feel free to contact me .
