Hey everyone!

My name is Jake and I am so excited to start engaging more with this community and with real estate. Just to offer a bit of my story... About a year ago I was exposed to the world of real estate and began to do my research. It wasn't long before I had to make a hard choice: pay back my final 25k worth of debt, or continue to make minimum payments and start investing in real estate. I decided to blitz my debt as hard as I could and in August of last year I became debt free. Shortly after this I started back into the world of Real Estate and found BiggerPockets in late December. Since then I have listened to 1-3 podcasts almost every day, read multiple books about real estate, read who knows how many blog posts, and sat down with a few successful investors.

Now that I feel like I have a good base of knowledge I have started my search for my first rental property. At this point I have been to 4 different properties, and have used the calculators on MANY more. My plan is to begin with Single Family and then hopefully move to multi-family investing.

I cannot begin to explain how surreal this process has been (though I am sure most of you understand) and I cannot wait to get my first property under my belt so I can start looking towards my second :) Excited to take a step deeper into this community and into my real estate journey!
