I am currently starting my journey into the world of real estate investment. I currently work in the mortgage servicing sector of real estate but I've always had a strong passion for knowledge into the world of investing in properties. I've had an opportunity to facilitate a "for sale by owner" investment property deal for my dad a few years back. While pursuing a realtor's license may not be a calling I find great interest in,  I enjoyed the research that went into coming up with the price, researching comps and being able to speak to inquiries about the property front to back. I've had a strong curiosity in tax lien auctions (Tarrant County) but it seems a bit risky to start out, especially with limited experience. Is there any advice/input out there anyone could give as a launching pad to start out? Also, is there any advice on bidding on tax liens and what things to lookout for in that arena (horror/success stories are all welcome). I want to learn as much as possible before diving in. Any/All feedback, stories, experiences are deeply appreciated!!!
