Advice for an optimistic young investor!

Hello all - my name is Kevin McNally and as you may have inferred from the subject title, I'm said "optimistic young investor!" I'm brand new to the biggerpockets site, though I've been listening to the podcasts for quite some time now. I'm so very excited to get started (eventually - hopefully soon, money's tight being a recent college grad) but before I do I wanted to not only reach out in an attempt to build some meaningful relationships, but to also seek advice from some well versed real estate investors. With that being said, I encourage all who've read this far to comment below to a) introduce yourself and b) offer one piece of advice you wish you had when you were getting started! Or, if you're also just getting started, please introduce yourself too and we can begin this journey together.  Hello Kevin, my name is Louis Gonzales and I live in Chicago Illinois. Just getting started on bigger pockets again, was subscribed back in 2015. I’m still trying to figure out how to post in the marketplace.  I have negotiated several different types of transactions however things have changed since I’ve done that, I guess marketing is the big thing now.
