Hey everyone. My name is Vang Lor. I'm super new to biggerpockets, Minnesota and real estate investing. I'm an agent in insurance and investment. My passion in real estate investing has small correlation to what I do in real life. Basically I love helping people and been in the finace field all my life.

So what got me into real estate investing. My first encounter was reading Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad Poor Dad". Then later I bought many books that follows it. Which led me to purchase Brandon Turner's audio book "Rental property Investing." And yes that got me here at biggerpockets.

Well any experience? Hmm... The only experience I got is from purchasing my own Duplex. I purchase it as a FHA loan. Unfortunately I didn't have any renters living in it, but only family members. It was on an estate sales for 115k. I offer 106k. I felt I should of offer lower, but knowning it was an estate sale I felt generous. That was my downfall. After the second month of my official move in, the property value went from 106k to 135k and now at 150k. I guess I shouldn't count my chicken before they hatched, but basically properties in the whole county all went up in value due to heavy investor from inside and out of the city and states.

So whats next for me? I came to be a sponge and absorb all that I can in biggerpockets. I'm a new guy with a big passion to real estate investing. Hopefully in the near future I can work a nice deal in the Twin cities of Minnesota.
