Hello BiggerPockets Family! I am very excited to have finally joined this community. After hearing Brandon and Josh mention many times that I gotta hit the forums and say hi, start asking questions, here I am. For the past few months I have been digging deep to find out what I enjoy doing and what it might take to get me there. I was talking to a friend about the idea of real estate investment and he guided me to the BiggerPockets podcast. After about 20 or so episodes I began to feel this was my calling. I like to think I am a people person, a great salesman, as well as creative. I love the idea of taking something worn down and creating something beautiful out of it. Also immensely enjoy playing with numbers and facilitating transactions.
A little background, my first potential career started out in sales working for a motorcycle dealership. Although I learned so much and had a knack for it, I didn't like the idea of deciding how much I'd be able to screw people over every sale. As soon as the opportunity arose, I got switched jobs to a motor-sports dealership. A more defined and set price point for each unit. I quickly rose to battle the top salesman there for most units sold at the end of every month. After having a few successful months, I started to consider how much effort I was giving for how much of a return. I was putting in 100%, as I naturally do with any endeavor I choose to be apart of, but I was only receiving maybe 20% reward. While these dealerships and big money people were enjoying the other 80%. This led me on my quest to start my own business. So here I am! I feel so grateful to have a place like this to start this journey alongside many others. I have next to no experience in the industry and hope to soak up all that I can from you guys as well as personal experience and to one day read a post similar to this one and offer a hand. I'll save the questions I have for a new thread but for now I am happy to have made this leap in.
Thanks again, I look forward to getting to know many of you and being a member of this community.
