Future Investor General Question

Hi Everyone,

I am new to biggerpockets and absolutely love everything that i've come across so far. All of the advise and the community that is being built within this site is so inspiring. I have not started in the real estate market yet. I am 25 year old and I plan to make my first purchase of a rental property within the next 3-5 years as that is when I believe I will have the financial means to do so.

So here is my question:

I live outside of the Philadelphia area and want to know who are the best people or places to start networking with while I am saving over the next 3-5 years for my first rental property?

I appreciate the input!

Hi @Andrea Cocolin This completely depends on your goals and the niche you choose to invest in. To me it sounds like either SFR's or MF. I would start by attending your local REIA meetings and other meetups which you should be able to find on the BP events page or on meetup.com. If there are no meetups in your local area then you should start one yourself. Yes, start one yourself! You would be surprised how many people out there are looking for exactly what you are looking for. From there I would attend seminars that focus on the same niche you would like to focus on. Hope this helps and good luck on your journey!
