Hello Everyone!
I am a new member to BP and I am extremely excited to be a part of this community. I have been studying the Beginner Guide as well as forum posts and I am loving the wealth of information being shared. A few things about me: I am 22, soon to be 23, and located in Birmingham, Alabama in which I was born and raised. I am currently working in healthcare administration while going to school part time online (I am still a college freshman due to a late start). Through the year of 2018, I took a long time to deeply reflect on my drive and ambitions in life. After careful deliberation of my options, I have decided to start my journey as a real estate investor in an effort to generate positive cash flow through rental properties in the Southeastern US. I have budgetary and business goals set at the one, two, three, and five year marks in order to get a strong start going for my long-term 10 year goal of financial independence through positive cash flows generated by multiple rental properties. While I do have my goals and basic business plan written out and ready to act on, I know that I still have a lot of learning left to do about the intricacies of real estate investing. I am looking forward to taking advantage of the resources and wealth of knowledge that BP can provide to me in order to further my ambitions.
Thank you all for reading!

@Robert Ashline Congrats on taking the first steps and welcome to BP. You're in the right place to learn. I invest in Birmingham and love it.
I'll throw out one suggestion - look up house hacking. I wish someone had told me about that concept when I was just getting started. Seems like a no brainer way to get started to me. But it's not for everyone, but something you might want to look into.
Best of luck!
