Newb from Evansville IN ready to get going

So i just moved to Indiana a few weeks ago from California and going to pursue my dream of becoming a RE investor. Not really sure where to start but we just sold our house so I have some capital to get started, just want to make sure I make sound choices when starting so I decided to join BP as a resource to make connections and maybe even find my first deal. I have some capital to start with and looking to acquire my first deal by the end of the year. I’m interested in single family and multi family, but I’m open to anything that shows potential. I’m also looking to fix and flip initially but hoping to move to a buy and hold strategy in the long term. Thanks for reading and I look forward to learning from and meeting you (virtually or in person).
