Newbie from Chicago, Illinois

Hello BP Community!

My name is Ron (RJ). I am a Tech Consultant from Chicago, IL. I am new to real estate investing. I have listened to the BP podcast for a little over a year now (beardy Brandon is pure entertainment).  I have read many of the BP books and I am excitedly counting down the days until "Raising Private Capital" by Matt Faircloth is delivered, so I can read that one as well.

After a while of doing research and thorough preparation, I am finally ready to get some skin in the game and to start investing in real estate. I am extremely interested in house hacking. I plan to invest in my first multi-unit property in the Chicago-land area before the end of this year. Once I get one property under my belt, I plan to scale up next year and purchase at least 5 multi-unit properties by the end of 2019.

Currently seeking mentors and resources that would like to work with a detail-oriented individual. I am  pretty new to real estate, but I enjoy and I am pretty good at finding and analyzing deals. My background is in Industrial Engineering, so I nerd out any chance i get to analyze data. :)

Looking forward to interacting with the BP community!

Hi @Ronald Daley welcome to BP! I started out investing the same way. I’ve house hacked 2 multi unit properties and recently closed on a SFR all in the past 4 years. I would love to help you out. My goal is to teach new investors how I did what I did. I’m a real estate agent and grew up in the ohare area. Message me and lets schedule a call to see how we can get you started.
