New to Bigger Pockets

Hello, my name is Edgar Medrano and I am new to Bigger Pockets and cant get enough of the podcast and information on here. A little background on me, I am from the Houston area, my father has been plumbing new construction apartments since I was 5 so I grew up around construction sites. I went to the University of Houston and got a degree in Construction Management. Since graduating I have been working as a estimator and project manager for a plumbing company that specializes in multifamily new construction. My wife Brenda and I did an extensive amount of work on our first house which turned into a huge project and found out that this is something we like to do.

I am currently helping out a victim of hurricane Harvey, as a PM, tear down her flooded home and rebuild a new one. This will be my second home project I take on including my first home, but my first complete build. My wife and I are looking to get into spec home building and this is a project that will really help me create a basis and network of contractors to help us along in our journey. I am documenting everything from start to finish in detail to help create a basis on which to start our own deals.
