New investor in the Savannah, Georgia region

Hey everyone,

I've officially joined BiggerPockets, where I can hopefully, actually get some bigger pockets.  I'm a relatively new investor to the Savannah, Georgia area, and I look forward to learning everything I can about real estate.  A little about me, I'm currently 26 years old, from Savannah, and work in the Finance Dept of Gulfstream Aerospace.  It's a great company, but as I sit here in my cube right now, I can't help but think about real estate.

I've been in real estate for almost a year now, and I own a duplex (rent one side and live in one side) and a 3b 2bth house, which I renovated and am now renting out.  I hope to buy another property within the next 6 months.  My goal going forward is to scale up, buying as many properties as possible by any means possible (conventional or creative financing).  I love to network and to learn new strategies, so please don't hesitate to reach out.

Looking forward to a continued learning process here on BP.

@Christian Woodberry welcome to the community! What sort of property are you looking for? What are your specific goals?

@Christian Woodberry Hi Christian, I have a great potential rental in Savannah’s historic district 3 bed 1 bath on Pounder St. There’s space to add a second bath next to the kitchen. It needs a new roof. Asking 60k. Let me know if there is any interest in your part.

@Christian Woodberry Good day sir, listen to Brandon's house hacking ideas. All podcast/youtube vids have "little gold nuggets" that can help build or find your "freedom number".

@Nicholas Caldwell I will be targeting small multifamily properties and single family homes with the goal of buy and hold. I have read about the BRRR strategy and I would like to utilize this approach if I can. This is the approach I took with my Pooler house: buy under market value, renovate (new paint, new floors, etc) and rent. The goal is to acquire multiple properties in hopes of building long term cash flow and equity. As I get more experience, I will not be opposed to "flipping" properties in order to quickly build cash for future investments. I am targeting long term growth, which will hopefully open up other avenues for me. Thanks for asking!

Thank you Gary, I have been listening to Bigger Pockets podcasts for the past couple months and they really do contain a lot of helpful information
