New to Investing, Aiming for Passive Income

Hello Biggerpockets! My name is Daniel. I'm 25, and just started my career path to become a licensed plumber. For the past few months I've been listening to the Biggerpockets podcast learning about real estate investment. The BRRRR strategy is something that really stands out to me. The idea of putting little to none of my own money down and building up passive income obviously has its appeal.

I'm looking to get started with either single families or duplexes. I don't have interest in investing in my home state NJ (a state with more landlord friendly laws would be more up my ally). I've been considering Texas.

I understand that networking with lenders, real estate agents, property managers, and local banks is a must in order to get started. Its my goal to be on these forums everyday until I get my team! Wish me luck! I'll see you in another thread.
