Funky Town Flipping!
My name is Garrett and I currently live in Fort Worth, Texas (aka funky town!).
I lived in Los Angeles for almost a decade working as a production manager in the film industry. I loved working in film but it was always a means to get into real estate. So, I moved back to Texas. I bought into and manage 4 multi-family properties with just over 400 units. It was definitly a sink or swim decision. I like to think I'm doing the butterfly at the moment.
I have always wanted to flip SFH as well. So, currently I am starting the research. I'm looking to buy my first flip in January or February.
I have also just started taking my required classes to get my license, as so many have suggested. I look forward to opening even more doors.
I have really enjoyed reading all the forums and listening to the podcast on BP but now I really want to meet other Pros and try to learn everything I don't know.

@Garrett Honea, congrats on your move! We have a bit in common--we manage several hundred doors, but even after so many years in the management side of the business, I still love to hunt for the sf deal, design it, fix it, and market/sell it! Why? For me it's FUN! (And the reward aint bad, but it really is more for the fun of it.)
At the end of the day, you can look at what was accomplished on a rehab, and say, hey, we're making real progress--look what we've done! Management: ssdd. Handle it all and take a check. No biggie. Job security, but not really a thrill. So many ways to slice up this melon. Have fun!
