New investor in North Dakota (Grand Forks)
Hello everyone! My name is Alec and I am an aspiring real estate investor from Grand Forks, North Dakota. I've been a member of the BiggerPockets community now for about a year, but I am just now getting serious about investing.
I just graduated with an undergraduate degree in Music Education in May and decided it was time to get serious about my real estate investing education. I am in the process of looking for my first deal, which will most likely be an owner-occupy in a duplex using an FHA loan.
As someone who is just starting out, the process of looking for a deal is completely foreign to me right now. Any advice you guys have regarding how to start would be greatly appreciated! I spoke with a realtor for the first time today regarding a prospective property and will be meeting with a financial advisor to discuss numbers for an owner-occupy using FHA tomorrow.
Once again, any tips or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading my post!!
-Alec
