New REI in Houston area

Hey everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself to the BP community. I'm looking to get into the residential REI market here in Houston, TX.

I purchased my first property 1.5 years ago (my residence) in Pearland and have witnessed the market take off. I'd like to buy and hold and try and build up enough passive income to eventually quit my day job as an attorney (isn't this everyone's goal?!)

Currently, I'm saving up until I have enough to make that first down payment and scouring HAR/zillow to try and get used to analyzing deals. I was introduced to the BRRRR method of investing on a BP episode and I think this is the method I will attempt once I have the money saved. With that being said, I have no experience in rehab/construction other than our near disaster of a kitchen reno on our own house so any contractor connections you guys have is definitely appreciated!

Thanks guys and I'm excited to get started!
