New member from Central Illinois (Champaign)
Hello everyone! I just thought it appropriate to make an introduction for myself. It has been a while since I have frequented any forums and I look forward to engaging and meeting some new people through this forum!
My name is Paul Schanbacher and I am Champaign born and raised. I am currently working a job that had been a dream of mine since I was in middle school (to build custom cars) but another dream of mine has always been to break into real estate investment and owning rental properties. I would eventually like to see the possibility of just focusing on real estate as I grow older, as the custom car industry is not easy on your body by a long shot! Flipping houses in the future is not out of the question by any means, if anything I would like to take on a flip within the next few years.
I'm nearing the point of taking my first steps at buying my first rental. I cannot lie, the idea is scary, albeit exciting. I feel as if I know so little, but everyone starts out feeling that way, am I right?
I am a greenhorn at best but I've made one dream happen and I'm ready to take on the next one. Any local meets around the Champaign-Urbana area?
