Newbie to the business and trying to figure out getting started

Good morning everyone, I am currently working as an IT Pro in the  Washington DC area, I've been reading, networking and researching over the last 30 days and I think I'm ready to get my feet wet. I'm really interested in Wholesaling and later down the road Fix and Flips as well as Buy and Hold properties. Just looking for any advice on getting started or helpful Do's and Dont's with getting started.
