New member from Wisconsin!
Hello my name is Dakota and I am a new member from the southern Wisconsin area! I've recently became a commercially rated pilot and am currently working in the aviation field while I pursue my flight instructor rating. Aviation is one of my biggest passions, but I've always had an interest in real estate. I am currently 21 years old (soon to be 22) and have been researching into buying my first home and potentially using it as a rental property to cut down on costs while I finish my schooling. My boss/mentor pointed me this direction so I figured I'd have a go at it! I'm very open minded and would love to hear from others who have been in a similar situation as me while I navigate through this next chapter of my life. I'm looking forward to all of the knowledge and experience BP has within! :)

welcome. I went to high school in Madison, but live in the Chicago area now. Wisconsin is a great place to invest. Currently I invest in MN and MI but WI is definitely on my radar. Way to get started early. My advice would be: Don't listen to any nay-sayers. Just find something that fits your lifestyle and criteria and buy it. Get started as soon as you can. Real estate runs in cycles so it will continue to rise and fall but then rise again. There's probably not an investor out there that would say at the end of his career, "I wish I would have waited longer to start investing."
